Sorry for the error in my video, I do say qualitative, when I am really talking about the quantitative part...
Hi Misty! I was really interested in your study. I also teach Algebra to 10th graders who have struggled with Math. Basically they are Tech level (low level) students. It is so difficult to keep them engaged especially if you have a large class. I also am unable to provide individual instruction to those who need it since you end up dealing with discipline issues. I would love to provide each student with the tablets you mentioned, especially for EOC preparation, which I am doing now. I currently have 21 students and look for only 4 - 6 to pass. We have to keep these students engaged in order for them to learn.
ReplyDeleteHi Misty,
ReplyDeleteThank you and your group for the insight into augmented reality. Before this course I had little understanding of it or it's implications in education. There is much room for it in the realm of marketing and public relations, but I had not seen exampled of educational uses. I have since reviewed feedback and there has been much use for history and science. It would be interesting to see its impact on mathematics as well. It would certainly break up the methodical nature of mathematics and provide practical applications for students as well as meet different learning styles. I will definitely be looking for ways to implement augmented reality at the higher education result!
Best,
Brittany
